Star Wedding Style

So I was telling you the other day that I could not wait for Tamera's wedding so she can be our next SWS.  Luckily for us we did not have to wait too long.

Tamera and Adam tied the knot at the Villagio inn and spa in Napa valley surrounded by 300 guests.

The bride chose an all white bouquet

and pink shades bouquets for her bridesmaids that matched their dresses specially designed by Amsale

Love how the girls had different dresses style but still managed to look uniform

Tamera wore a beautiful strapless Carolina Herrera gown. She changed her outfits 2 other times, a two piece dolce gabbana and a dress by herve ledger

The reception venue was decorated in pink, white and accentuated with beautiful roses and hydrangeas.

Lets start with the color palletes, choose white and pale pink. Go with neutral and muted colors, stay away from anything too flashy.

For the decoration style choose a vineyard rustic, simple yet elegant look

For the venue, like our SWS couple you could choose a vineyard,  but your other options are a barn, a ranch or a lodge.

 Tamera's dress was a beautiful trumpet/mermaid dress. To get something similar, I would suggest picking a style that is not too accentuated at the bottom. Her dress skirt has several bows blended into one , here are some dresses that will give you that effect.

Star Wedding Style

On July 17th 2010, Boston Celtic captain Paul Pierce married Julie Landrum at the Resort at Pelican Hill in an intimate ceremony.

The bride wore a Ines Di Santos dress, while her dapper groom chose a custom tux by Éléyee Tuxedo

The couple exchanged vows underneath a gazebo surrounded by white orchids, hydrangeas and roses 

The colors for the outdoor cocktail area was cream and gold 

The reception was a red themed floral decor 

The cake was sitting on an handmade floral tablecloth and it's different layer included chocolate, red velvet and coconut layer

Finally the couple had an after party area where their guests could unwind 

and enjoy candies

So interested in achieving the Pierce's wedding style?

Let's start with the dress, choose a lace trumpet/mermaid style dress with some satin at the bottom. The neckline should be strapeless and sweetheart, then top it off with a semi cathedral train.

For the ceremony think white, it doesn't have to be as grandiose as the Pierce's, go for simple and understated. 

To save money instead of having 2-3 flowers at every row, chose to have 1 bouquet every other row.

Do not forget the chair covers, they add an air of drama to the place.

 The reception should be different shade of red, you could add more candles than flowers to save on cost

  The Pierce's wedding had two different areas for the cocktail and the after party, if it is an idea you would like to replicate on a budget. I would suggest using the same area for both hours. Have your planner bring out the candies while your guests are dinning. Also set up a bartender in that area and open the doors so your guests uderstand that they are welcome to go back there.

Star Wedding Style

On august 23rd 2008, actress Malinda Williams married former rapper and present celebrity deejay Derrick “D-Nice” Jones.

The wedding took place at the mezzanine in Newark, NJ ( A venue that can host up to 900 guests at a time).

The bride and groom went for a vintage inspired wedding, very classic and elegant

The bride looked flawless as she shows how to rock short hair on your big day.

Her ivory, beaded, ruffled-tiered gown was designed by Maggie Sotter.

Her bridesmaid were wearing champagne floor length gown with chocolate sashes at the waist by David's Bridal.

As an alternate to the usual tie, the groosmen were wearing champagne bow ties .

The ceremony decoration consisted of tall branches in vase filled rock, and tall white pillar candles also in vases.

And as always my favorite part..... the cake
